With our separating soap, you can ensure that all parts can be easily separated again later during mould construction. A release agent alone may not be sufficient, as it does not fill pores. For example, in models made of sandstone or polystyrene, the microstructure of the surface is so fissured that, despite the release agent, the impression material is gripped in it and cannot be removed later. Release soap, on the other hand, temporarily fills the tiny cavities of the porous model surface so that no impression material can penetrate into open pores. After the impression has been taken, the soap is washed off and no visible traces remain on the model.
In some cases, especially with silicone impression materials, you can completely dispense with another separating agent after using our separating soap. However, as with all release agents, it is of course absolutely necessary to test in advance whether the desired release effect actually occurs in individual cases and depending on the impression material used.
