LIAVER® light grain is an environmentally friendly recycled product made from expanded glass.
The expanded glass granulate is produced from recycled glass using a patented process. Processed broken glass is finely ground, mixed and shaped. The raw granulate is sintered at 750°C to 900°C in the blowing furnace. The result is an ecological product made from mineral raw materials.
The material is grey and has the following positive properties:
- non-toxic and pollutant-free
- light and pressure resistant
- excellent heat and cold insulation
- non-combustible
- resistant to acids, alkalis and organic solvents
- not biologically attackable
- frost-resistant and dimensionally stable up to 750°C
