Dyckerhoff FLOWSTONE® is a high performance cement, specifically developed for the production of high-strength concrete in the casting process. The material meets the highest requirements regarding tightness, strength, durability and surface quality, and has firmly established itself as the first choice for the construction of concrete furniture, kitchen countertops and designer objects.
The special features of Dyckerhoff FLOWSTONE® include an extremely low-pore and dense structure, low dirt pick-up, early workability, high frost and freeze-thaw resistance and a high wear resistance. Furthermore, the material has excellent processing properties that make it suitable for the finest mouldings.
Since Dyckerhoff FLOWSTONE® is prepared with extremely little water, the addition of a suitable superplasticizer is required for preparing. We recommend our packaged, ready to use, superplasticizer FLUP®-PCE-001 (powder) or our low-cost FLUP®-PCE-342 (liquid), specifically tailored to FLOWSTONE®. In addition, a suitable aggregate (sand or gravel) must be added as with any cement. A formulation of 1 part washed sand (granulation size 0-2 mm) to 1 part FLOWSTONE® or 1.5 parts screed gravel (granulation size 0-4 mm) to 1 part FLOWSTONE® has been proven to be effective. Please note that when you use wet sand, it usually contains between 25 and 100% of the total allowable amount of water, and so reduce the amount of additional water accordingly. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not use other additives such as accelerators or retarders. No more than 40 g of pigment should be used per kg of FLOWSTONE®.
