ComBAR® fibre glass rods for concrete are the clever alternative to reinforcing steel. They are ideal as additional reinforcement in kitchen worktops with recesses where special load concentrations are expected and a purely textile reinforcement is not enough. The rods are flexible, so they can be bent a little, but always spring back to their straight form. A permanent bend such as with iron rods is not possible. An angle grinder is suitable for cutting. Since the material has the same density as concrete, the rods can be easily placed in position during concreting and remain there without floating or descending.
The rod has a length of 1.10 m, a diameter of 8 mm and a tensile strength of > 20 kN. The material E-CR glass is not affected by the alkalinity of the concrete and can not rust.
