ISOCEM S/L is a surfactant-based additive for the production of foam, which is used to prduce porous lightweight concrete with a density of 0.4 to 2.0 kg/dm³. Lightweight concrete produced with ISOCEM S/L can be used as a thermal insulation, insulating layer, leveling layer and for filling channels, pipes and shafts.
The application is done in two steps. In the first step, the foam is made by mixing ISOCEM S/L to and water. This requires a FOAM GENERATOR. For the production of small quantities of foam, the PUNKY foam whisk is well suited. In the second step, the foam is mixed under the prepared concrete. Due to the foam, the lightweight concrete is easy to process without segregating.
The mixing ratio of ISOCEM S/L to water should be 1:20. 40 g ISOCEM S/L in combination with 800 g water results in approx. 10 litres of ready-to-use foam.
ISOCEM S/L is a product based on natural surfactants produced from palm oil. In contrast to the protein-based foaming agents such as our PANTAPOR, the surfactant-based foaming agents provide foams that are somewhat less stable, but much more cost-effective and completely sufficient for most applications.
