The sophisticated concept of the New Zealand manufacturer PORTAMIX makes it possible to mix and place 5 bags of material weighing 25 kg in just 3 minutes. The material is mixed in a downwardly tapered and rounded container using a precisely matched whisk, which ensures that no pockets of unmixed dry material can form. To pour out the ready-mixed mixture, the HIPPO, which is fitted with a trolley, is simply rolled into place and the mixture is placed precisely and effortlessly using a balanced tilting mechanism.
Cleaning the HIPPO is extremely easy because only a few parts are wetted with the mix and all parts are easily accessible. The special highlight here is the HIPPO's removable container insert. It is made of a very flexible plastic, which makes it easy to break out material residues that have become solid. This proves to be an invaluable advantage, especially if the mix is not a cement-based mortar but a resin-bonded compound, as there is no need for any washing or solvent.
The HIPPO is designed for daily professional use. It mixes all types of flowable compounds such as floor levelling compounds, plaster, resin coatings, paints and joint compounds. We particularly recommend HIPPO for our BASIL and PLAN B floor coatings.
The HIPPO is available with two different power motors. The lighter 1800 W motor is sufficient for most applications. With the more powerful 2300 W motor, the HIPPO has an additional power reserve for heavier loads, which has a positive effect on the service life.
